The first-version Les Paul Supreme is one of those Gibsons that still feels like a lot of guitar for the money, especially when you look at the materials and how dressed-up the whole build is. The figured maple top and back, ebony board, split-block inlays and all the extra binding give it a much more luxurious feel than a standard Les Paul, and the chambered construction tends to add a slightly more open, lively response as well. Root Beer is a brilliant finish on these too, as it really suits the flame and gives the guitar a rich, high-end look without being too flashy. I also think these early Supremes have aged well because they sit in their own lane — not trying to be a Historic reissue, but offering something more ornate and distinctive in the Gibson USA lineup. They do feel like really good value when you consider the wood selection, the appointments, and what Gibson would charge to make something similar now.

Very good condition. There are some minor impressions present, along with hardware patina and some minor nitro checking in places, all of which are very much in keeping with the age and finish type. Overall it still presents very well and remains a very attractive example.
