Personal Thoughts:
The SG Supreme is Gibson quietly flexing.
It takes the raw aggression of an SG and dresses it up properly — AAA figured maple top, ebony board, gold hardware, chandelier headstock inlay — it’s bold without being gaudy. The Translucent Ebony Burst works perfectly here, allowing the flame to glow through while keeping that darker, slightly sinister edge.
The ebony board and compound radius make this feel far more modern than a traditional SG. It’s fast, precise, and very slick under the fingers — especially with 24 frets and a SlimTaper carve. This is a proper modern rock SG.
Tonally, the Burstbucker Pro set gives you clarity and punch with a bit more edge than vintage-spec PAF clones. Add the push/pull coil taps and you’ve got serious flexibility — thick, driving humbucker tones one minute, surprisingly usable single-coil-style sparkle the next.
It’s an SG that feels elevated — not just another Standard, but something that stands out both visually and sonically.
