Personal Thoughts:
The ’55 Falcon is one of the most “proper” historic Falcons Gretsch have released — massively resonant, lightweight for its size, and armed with the T-Armond pickups that give it that unmistakable chime, bite and three-dimensional clarity Dynasonics are known for. Compared with Filter’Tron models, the ’55 has more presence, more air and more dynamic headroom — it’s a magical tone if you love that broad, piano-like top end.
Visually, the Vintage Select Falcons are as close as you’ll get to the original golden-era glamour without stepping into full custom-shop territory. The ebony board, the Imperial tuners and the Cadillac tailpiece make this one feel every inch a flagship Gretsch.
Condition Report:
Excellent condition. Very minor signs of use only. Hardware retains its sheen, frets clean, finish crisp with no noteworthy marks. Case and paperwork included.
