This is a seriously desirable Gretsch and exactly the sort of Masterbuilt spec that makes sense. The '62 Duo Jet platform is already a brilliant place to start, but the chambered mahogany body with arched maple top gives it that lovely mix of snap, weight relief and airy response that makes great Jets feel a bit more alive than people expect. The ebony board and thumbnail inlays keep it properly classy, while the TV Jones Classics are a huge part of the appeal as they tend to deliver that crisp, articulate Gretsch voice without ever sounding thin. I also think Sonic Blue works brilliantly on a Duo Jet, especially with the light relic finish and checking, as it gives the guitar a softer vintage-custom look rather than the more usual black or burst route. Add in the fact that it is a Stephen Stern Masterbuilt and it becomes the sort of guitar that appeals just as much to serious Gretsch collectors as it does to players who simply want an exceptional Jet.

Mint condition. Factory relic finish with light checking as part of the original build style. Aside from the intentional ageing, it presents exceptionally well overall with no noteworthy wear to mention.
