This is a seriously high-end J. Custom and exactly the sort of MIJ Ibanez that reminds you why the line has such a strong reputation. The natural finish over the burl walnut top is the obvious visual highlight, but the full spec is every bit as impressive. Swamp ash body, birdseye maple board, Super Wizard maple / purpleheart neck and the Lo-Pro Edge is a really classy combination, and it gives the guitar that unmistakable top-tier Ibanez feel. The matched headstock, purple dot inlays and countersunk knobs are all nice details too, because they make the whole build feel more thought through and properly premium. I also like the pickup choice a lot. The Duncan Jazz and Custom 5 is a proven set, and with 5-way switching it should cover plenty of ground while still feeling focused and articulate. A very classy J. Custom and a seriously desirable modern MIJ build.
