his is one of the coolest modern JEM releases Ibanez have done, because it taps straight into the appeal of the original late-’80s 777 guitars while still giving you the consistency and playability of a modern Japanese-made anniversary model. The Shocking Pink finish is obviously a huge part of the appeal, and on a JEM like this it just looks exactly right. The disappearing pyramid inlays, monkey grip and gold hardware all give it that unmistakable Steve Vai identity, but underneath that it is still a very serious high-performance guitar. The maple board version has its own feel as well, giving the guitar a slightly snappier, more immediate response that really suits the whole over-the-top JEM character. A very cool anniversary model and one that feels collectible while still being every bit a proper player’s guitar.

Excellent condition. This would otherwise be mint, but there is a tiny impression in the finish on the side bout. Aside from that it presents exceptionally well overall.
