Personal Thoughts:
The JEM7V-WH is the Steve Vai guitar — an absolute icon and one of the most recognisable superstrats ever made. This example takes an already world-class instrument and subtly improves it where it matters most for long-term ownership and playability.
The stainless steel fret upgrade is a huge plus. Same size as stock, so the feel remains authentically “JEM”, but with dramatically increased durability, slicker bends, and a touch more snap and clarity. The added glow-in-the-dark side dots are another smart, player-focused upgrade that doesn’t detract from the originality or aesthetic.
Tonally, the Evolution set does exactly what it should — tight, articulate, aggressive when pushed, but still capable of surprisingly clean, hi-fi tones in the in-between positions. The Edge trem remains one of the best double-locking systems ever made, period.
This is a no-compromise JEM that’s equally appealing to collectors and serious players.
