The late-'80s RG550 is one of the great Japanese superstrats and still one of the coolest production Ibanez guitars from the era. It has everything people want from a proper early RG: basswood body, original Wizard neck, Edge trem, HSH layout and that unmistakable stripped-back late-'80s look. Road Flare is a brilliant colour on these too, and one of the finishes that immediately makes the guitar feel period-correct and full of character. The original V1 / S1 / V2 pickup set also suits these guitars really well, keeping them versatile and aggressive in exactly the way an old RG should be. A very cool MIJ RG and one of the benchmark models from the golden era of Ibanez shred guitars.

Good condition. There is some minor paint missing to both horns, two small neck cracks, some binding marks and general small impressions throughout. Overall it remains functionally sound and still presents as an honest vintage player from this period.
