This is a great-looking Choptank and a spec that makes a lot of sense if you want something familiar on paper but a bit more refined in the hand. The Choptank platform already has that slightly offset, boutique take on a classic bolt-on style guitar, but the set maple neck, 25.5" scale and 8.5" radius give it a really nice middle ground between vintage and modern. The “52” neck carve is also worth calling out, because it is one of those specs that tends to make Knaggs guitars feel distinctive rather than generic. The Winter Solstice finish is a big part of the appeal too — it gives the guitar a darker, moodier look than a standard burst or plain colour, and paired with the rosewood board and dark guard it comes across as quite elegant. If this one does indeed have the Fralin-loaded SSS setup, that is another strong point, as it should keep the guitar open, articulate and very touch-sensitive while still feeling like a premium boutique instrument rather than just another S-style derivative.

Mint condition. A very clean example that presents beautifully, with no noteworthy wear to mention.
