This is a seriously cool modern build and exactly the sort of guitar Mayones do so well. The Hydra shape already looks futuristic, but in Solid Slime Green it becomes even more striking, especially with the natural wood bevels and the dark ebony board balancing it all out. I really like how Mayones manage to make these ultra-modern guitars feel premium rather than gimmicky. The 5-ply Wenge/Purpleheart neck and ebony board combination should give it that fast, immediate response these are known for, while the Bare Knuckle TKO set suggests a punchy, high-definition voice that suits heavier styles brilliantly. It is a guitar that looks aggressive, feels purpose-built, and still has that boutique level of craftsmanship throughout.
