This is one of the most visually distinctive Mayones guitars I have seen. The Monolith White PorBlack finish is far more interesting in person than a conventional white guitar because the ash grain is physically recessed into the surface and picked out in black. The result is almost topographical, with deep black lines following every piece of natural grain across the body. It gives the guitar a genuinely three-dimensional appearance and makes every example effectively unique.

The specification underneath is every bit as serious. The neck-through construction uses an elaborate 11-ply combination of maple, mahogany, wenge and amazakoe, paired with an ebony fingerboard, 16" radius and 24 stainless-steel frets. It is very much a modern high-performance platform, but the natural ash grain running through that unusual finish stops it from feeling sterile or overly clinical.

The Velvetrone Ironside and Solium humbuckers, five-way switching and Mayones treble-bleed circuit give it plenty of tonal flexibility, while the Hipshot fixed bridge and Grip-Lock tuners make for a simple, extremely stable hardware setup. The brushed nickel pickup covers against the black-and-white body are a particularly nice finishing touch. A seriously unusual Regius with one of the coolest textured finishes Mayones has produced.

Mint / as new condition. Overseas import example with no noteworthy marks, fret wear or signs of use to mention. The recessed black grain throughout the Monolith White finish is an intentional factory feature and forms a major part of the design rather than being cracking, wear or finish damage.
