A truly special example of Nik Huber's celebrated Krautster II, featuring an exceptionally rare flamed redwood top finished in a beautiful Tiger Eye Burst. This is very much a collector-grade instrument and a particularly desirable specification that sets it apart from the more commonly encountered Krautster models.

The redwood examples have always occupied a rather special position within the Nik Huber range. Produced in comparatively small numbers and showcasing some extraordinary pieces of timber, these instruments attract considerable attention from enthusiasts and collectors alike. Newer redwood examples can command asking prices comfortably exceeding £7,000, illustrating the premium associated with these distinctive builds.

What makes this 2019 example especially appealing is the quality of its figuring. The exceptional flamed redwood top, combined with the rich Tiger Eye Burst finish, creates a wonderfully three-dimensional appearance. Complementing this is an exotic cocobolo fingerboard, bound mahogany neck and gold hardware, resulting in a specification that feels considerably more exclusive than the standard Krautster II.

The Spanish cedar body is another interesting feature. Known for its relatively light weight and resonant characteristics, it contributes to the lively, responsive feel that has made Nik Huber guitars so highly regarded.

Tonally, the combination of a powerful Krautster bridge humbucker and a P90-style neck pickup provides a particularly versatile arrangement. The bridge offers excellent punch, clarity and definition, while the neck delivers the warmth, openness and character associated with a great P90. Together, they provide everything from articulate cleans and expressive blues tones through to muscular classic rock sounds.

One of the real attractions of Nik Huber instruments is the remarkable consistency of their craftsmanship. The attention to detail, fretwork and overall finishing is exceptional, with a level of refinement that genuinely places them among the finest boutique electric guitars available.

For collectors, the appeal here extends well beyond the playing experience. The combination of an exceptional redwood top, cocobolo fingerboard, limited production specification and original certificate makes this a particularly compelling example.

A rare opportunity to acquire an earlier redwood Krautster II in outstanding condition, without paying the substantial premium often associated with more recent examples.

Presented in mint condition, this 2019 example has been exceptionally well preserved and remains a stunning representation of Nik Huber's craftsmanship.

The remarkable Tiger Eye Burst finish displays the exceptional flamed redwood figuring beautifully, while the gold hardware and exotic cocobolo fingerboard complete its distinctive appearance.

Supplied with its original Nik Huber hardcase and certificate of authenticity, documenting the instrument's individual specification and assembly date.

A superb collector-grade example of one of the more desirable and unusual Krautster II configurations.
