Personal Thoughts:
The 408 is one of the most versatile and clever designs PRS has ever released. With no pickup rings and those wide-aperture humbuckers, it’s got a unique voice somewhere between a traditional humbucker and a single-coil, but with more punch and clarity than either. This one in Santana Yellow is visually loud but tonally refined.
Great balance between clean chime and articulate gain tones, and the coil taps actually deliver useful single-coil tones rather than the anaemic ones you often find on cheaper systems. It’s a proper workhorse wrapped in boutique polish.
Condition Report:
Excellent condition. It’s had a professional clearcoat refinish due to a minor factory flaw—flawlessly done, you wouldn’t know unless told. A few very small impressions can be found under close inspection, but overall it's extremely clean. Frets and hardware are in great shape. Plays and sounds exactly as a PRS should.
