Personal Thoughts:
The Artist Series IV was the pinnacle of PRS craftsmanship in the 1990s — a showcase of the company’s most select tonewoods, premium finishes, and aesthetic appointments. Built before the Core and Private Stock distinction existed, these Artist guitars represent PRS at its most luxurious and meticulously detailed.

This Teal Green example is a stunning representation of that era. The Artist Grade flame maple top displays incredible depth and figure under the vibrant finish, perfectly complemented by the dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and abalone bird inlays.

The tone is everything you’d expect from a top-tier ’90s PRS — warm and harmonically rich with incredible sustain. The Treble and Bass pickups remain a classic pairing, offering a wide tonal palette: the bridge pickup delivers singing lead tones with focused mids, while the neck pickup produces creamy, full-bodied warmth ideal for blues and jazz. The 3 way switch provides additional versatility.

Playability is outstanding thanks to the Wide Fat neck, which feels substantial yet perfectly balanced. Combined with PRS’s impeccable fretwork and smooth stoptail bridge, this is an instrument that feels alive and effortless to play.

A genuine piece of PRS history — built in the golden age of the brand and increasingly sought after by collectors for its tone, build quality, and rarity.

Condition Report:
Excellent condition overall. A few tiny impressions on the back of the body only, consistent with light use. Frets, hardware, and top finish remain excellent. Supplied with the original PRS Artist Series hard case.
