This is a particularly desirable early-2000s Custom 22, combining several of the specifications many PRS collectors look for from this period. The 10-Top is beautifully figured beneath the Cherry Sunburst finish, while the rosewood board and bird inlays give it that unmistakable classic PRS appearance.

The Wide Thin neck carve makes this one especially appealing for players who prefer a quicker, slimmer feel than the more substantial Wide Fat profile found on many McCarty-era instruments. Combined with the 22-fret layout and stoptail bridge, it should feel very solid and direct under the hands, with plenty of sustain and a slightly more traditional response than a trem-equipped Custom 22.

The original Dragon II pickup set is another major part of the character. These pickups have a strong following among players who like the more muscular, full-bodied sound of early PRS electronics, with plenty of output and midrange while still retaining good clarity. The period 5-way rotary switching expands the tonal range considerably and is a very recognisable part of PRS guitars from this era.

A superb collector-grade Custom 22 with a strong specification: 10-Top, birds, Wide Thin neck, Dragon II pickups and the less common stoptail configuration.

Mint condition. Presents exceptionally well overall for a 2002 instrument, with no noteworthy marks, fret wear or signs of use to mention. A particularly clean and well-preserved example from this era.
