This is a seriously special Private Stock Custom 24 and considerably more interesting than simply being a high-spec one-off build. #6604 is one of only 20 October “Guitars of the Month” produced to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of PRS Private Stock, giving it genuine historical interest as well as an extraordinary specification.

The Sage Glow Smoked Burst is spectacular over the curly maple top, shifting from vivid green through darker smoked edges while allowing the figuring to remain extremely pronounced. The exotic timber choices continue underneath, with an African ribbon mahogany back, solid wenge neck and ebony fingerboard — a far more unusual recipe than a conventional Custom 24.

The inlay work is equally special. The ebony board carries elaborate Lotus Knot inlays made from paua heart, green ripple abalone and mother of pearl, while the matching ebony headstock veneer features a green ripple abalone Private Stock eagle with mother-of-pearl outlining and an engraved “October” banner identifying its place within the Guitar of the Month series.

PRS paired the build with 58/15 LT pickups and the familiar volume, tone and 5-way blade layout, giving it a clear, open and articulate vintage-inspired humbucker voice with all the versatility expected from a Custom 24.

A genuinely significant Private Stock piece: 1 of only 20, built as part of the 20th Anniversary celebration, with exceptional woods, elaborate proprietary inlays and a specification unlikely to ever be repeated in quite the same form.

Mint condition. Presents exceptionally well overall with no noteworthy marks, fret wear or signs of use to mention. Supplied with its original Private Stock 20th Anniversary Saxon Crimson case, Private Stock certificate and associated documentation.
