Personal Thoughts:
The early 2000s PRS Hollowbody IIs have a particular magic—lightweight, incredibly resonant, and dripping with tonal richness. The carved maple top and back paired with the hollow mahogany core make for an airy, woody tone that’s equally great for clean jazz runs or saturated lead work.
This example in Teal Black is something special—subtle and classy up close, yet bold on stage. The McCarty-spec Wide Fat neck adds vintage chunk and comfort, and the original PRS Archtop pickups are warm, responsive, and beautifully balanced. This is an ideal recording or performance piece for the discerning player who wants classic PRS build quality with boutique tonal nuance.
Condition Report:
In excellent condition for a 2002 model. A few minor marks and faint polish swirls as expected for a guitar of this age, but no major blemishes or structural issues. Frets are in great shape, electronics work flawlessly, and the instrument is well set up with a smooth, low action. Features Paul's Signature on the back (Easily Removeable)
