This is a really classy USA PRS, and for me the McCarty 594 is one of the strongest models in the core range if you want something that leans more into that vintage-inspired feel whilst still having the precision and consistency PRS are known for. It has a slightly more traditional character than some of the flashier PRS models, but still feels every bit as premium and refined as you would expect.

The Gold dark burst finish works brilliantly on this one, especially with the figuring in the maple top. It gives the guitar a rich, high-end look without being over the top. The McCarty 594 platform is just a very well judged spec all round — comfortable in the hands, beautifully made, and tonally aimed right at that warm, articulate humbucker sound that covers a huge amount of ground. A very desirable USA-made PRS and a model that continues to be one of their best modern offerings.
