The HoloFlake finish is absolutely wild in person, shifting and shimmering under light while still sitting on the familiar, reassuring McCarty 594 platform. It’s a brilliant contrast: ultra-modern visuals paired with one of PRS’ most vintage-voiced and feel-driven models.
Tonally, the McCarty 594 remains a benchmark. The shorter scale length gives a relaxed, elastic feel, while the 58/15 LT pickups deliver warmth, clarity, and that woody, open midrange that makes this model so addictive.
