The obvious talking point is the Laguna finish. It is a Private Stock colour on a Wood Library 10-Top flame maple top, and there is loads of movement as the light shifts — aqua through deeper teal across bold, wide figuring, with the natural mahogany back and neck left to contrast underneath. Cream-bound rosewood, Outline Old School bird inlays and hybrid hardware finish the appointments without competing with the top.

Construction is classic McCarty 594: Pattern Vintage mahogany neck, 24.594" scale and a 10" radius East Indian rosewood board. It has that rounded, settled feel players buy a 594 for, with the extra expression of the Gen III tremolo when you want it.

McCarty III humbuckers with individual push/pull coil taps cover a lot of ground — warm, vocal cleans through to rich overdrive, with single-coil textures on tap. Dual volumes and tones keep the control layout familiar and useful.

This Wood Library run brings the McCarty 594 Trem and the Laguna Private Stock colour together outside a full Private Stock build, which is a major part of the appeal. Direct US import, never played, with case, hang tag and manuals present — exactly the sort of clean, fully documented example collectors and players look for.
