Personal Thoughts:
The SC-250 was PRS’s answer to the modern hard rock and metal crowd back in the 2000s, and it still delivers serious punch today. This particular example has been played—and it shows—but in the best kind of way. There’s something inspiring about a guitar that’s clearly been someone's number one on stage.
Despite the cosmetic wear (and there is a fair bit—dings, dents, edge wear, and visible impressions, including wear up by the fretboard), it plays surprisingly well. The frets are in solid shape, the action is slick, and it still rings like a bell thanks to its quality tonewoods and those powerful SC-250 pickups.
It won’t win a beauty contest, but if you want a USA-made PRS with attitude and mojo, this is the one.
Condition Report:
Plenty of visible cosmetic wear: edge chips, dings on the body, playwear around the upper fretboard, and signs of heavy use. However, it’s structurally solid and the frets have plenty of life left. Plays great, sounds big, and is ready to keep going for another decade.
