This is a really attractive Wood Library Special 22 and a spec that feels a bit different from the usual PRS formula in a very good way. The Denim Purple Jean finish already gives it loads of visual appeal, but the real interest here is in the wood combination. A flame maple 10-top over a swamp ash back is a great recipe if you want something with a bit more snap and openness than the more common mahogany-backed setup, and the figured maple neck and board push it even further in that direction. Visually it sounds superb too, especially with the matching figured maple veneer and old school abalone bird inlays. The Special 22 platform is already one of PRS’s most versatile designs, and with this Wood Library treatment it becomes something much more distinctive. A very classy build with plenty of individuality.
