This is an absolutely spectacular Wood Library Custom 24-08 and one of the more unusual modern PRS combinations we’ve seen. The Private Stock Salmon finish is the immediate standout, sitting somewhere between vivid coral, pink and red depending on the light, while still allowing the exceptionally strong flame of the 10-Top to remain clearly visible. Against the dark ziricote fingerboard and smoked black hardware, it has a genuinely Private Stock-inspired appearance.

The neck specification makes this one particularly special. Rather than the conventional mahogany neck, PRS have used figured maple, with the natural figuring visible beneath the stained finish. That is paired with a premium ziricote fingerboard and matching ziricote headstock veneer, finished with Old School Outline Birds. The Pattern Thin carve, 25" scale and 24-fret layout keep the playing experience fast and familiar, while the exotic timbers give this example a completely different visual character from a standard Custom 24.

The DMO pickup set and 24-08 electronics provide a huge amount of tonal flexibility. Alongside the traditional volume, tone and 3-way toggle, the two individual mini-switches allow each pickup to access additional voices independently. This makes it possible to move between powerful full humbucker sounds and clearer, more articulate textures without compromising the straightforward control layout.

The Gen III tremolo, Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons and smoked black hardware complete what is already a very high-end specification. A superb Wood Library build that bridges the gap between a production Custom 24-08 and the exotic materials and finishing usually associated with PRS Private Stock.
