Personal Thoughts:
The DGT is already one of the most musical and expressive guitars PRS has ever produced — and this Wood Library example takes things up another level. The swamp ash body adds a touch more snap and air compared to the standard mahogany build, while the cocobolo fingerboard brings warmth, depth and a slightly glassy high end that works beautifully with the DGT pickups.
The Faded Whale Blue finish is a real standout here — subtle, classy, and very much in keeping with PRS’ more tasteful Wood Library colour palette. The 10-top flame shows through beautifully without being over the top, and the matching flamed maple headstock finishes the guitar off perfectly.
Tonally this is classic DGT territory: fat, vocal mids, articulate highs, and an incredibly touch-sensitive response. It’s a guitar that rewards nuance and dynamics, whether clean, edge-of-breakup, or fully driven.
