The Space Ace finish is the whole point of this guitar. It sits on a deep, dark base that flips through blue, green and purple as the light moves across the chambered alder body, and Suhr have carried that same gloss colour onto the maple neck and headstock rather than leaving a natural or roasted maple contrast. Against the ebony board, black satin guard and gold hardware it looks deliberate and expensive, not like a stock colour option that happened to land on a Classic S.

Build wise this is a proper Custom Shop Classic S, not a parts Strat. Chambered two piece alder with arm, hand and tummy contours keeps the weight down to 7 lb 14.5 oz, so it stays comfortable for long sessions. The Even C Hybrid carve (.800" to .850") with an 11" to 16" rolled ebony board and stainless jumbo frets is a modern Suhr neck feel: accurate, fast, and built to hold up.

The HSS layout is where the guitar earns its keep. V63 Plus singles in the neck and middle give you clear, open Strat voice, while the gold Asatobucker in the bridge adds the thicker, more aggressive edge you want under gain. SSCII sits underneath so the single coil positions stay quiet without a battery, which matters on loud stages and in the studio. Recessed original Floyd Rose, locking nut and Suhr locking tuners lock the whole thing down for dive bombs without the usual tuning drama.

This one came in as a US overseas import, mint and as new, with the customer copy spec sheet and handmade tweed case. If you want Space Ace done properly, matching neck included, without waiting on a Custom Shop queue, this is exactly that guitar.
