Black limba on both body and neck is the obvious talking point. A 2 piece natural gloss limba body with matching limba neck, reverse headstock and abalone logo looks anything but stock Modern, and the ebony board with abalone dots finishes the look without clutter. Gold hardware throughout pulls it together.

Modern Elliptical (.820" to .870") with a compound 11" to 16" radius and 24 stainless jumbo frets is the Suhr modern player package: fast, even and comfortable for bends up the neck without feeling skinny. Black Tusq nut and locking tuners keep tuning behaviour predictable, and the recessed 2 post bridge with solid saddles and steel block is the solid feel Suhr players expect.

Twin gold Thornbuckers are a strong pairing for this platform. They have more midrange push and harmonic complexity than a generic PAF style set, clean up nicely with the volume rolled back, and take gain without turning into mush. Volume and tone with a 5 way blade keep the switching simple and useful.
