This is a particularly interesting Pete Thorn Signature Standard and quite different from the more familiar HSS-style Suhr formula. The combination of a chambered genuine mahogany body, thin plain maple top and mahogany neck gives it a noticeably more substantial, almost set-neck-inspired specification, while still retaining the ergonomics and precision of a Suhr Standard.

The cosmetics are beautifully understated. The gloss Black top contrasts with the Cherry-finished mahogany body and neck, while the rosewood board, raw nickel Thornbuckers and black pickup rings give it a purposeful, almost stripped-back appearance. The Pete Thorn engraved headstock is a nice finishing touch without making the guitar feel overly signature-specific.

The pickup pairing is one of the strongest parts of the specification. A Thornbucker in the neck and hotter Thornbucker Plus in the bridge provide an open, articulate PAF-inspired voice with extra authority where needed, while the 5-way switching and push/pull parallel option substantially broaden the available sounds. Combined with the chambered construction, 10"–14" compound radius, stainless jumbo frets and Even C Slim neck, this is a genuinely versatile professional instrument rather than simply a high-gain signature model.

Excellent condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only one or two minor impressions in the finish from careful use. No significant damage, fret wear or other issues to mention. Supplied with its original black Suhr hardshell case and factory specification sheet.
