This is a seriously attractive Standard Custom and a brilliant example of Suhr blending traditional S-style versatility with a much more luxurious boutique specification. The Trans Purple Burst finish looks superb over the figured maple top, while the scraped natural binding, gold hardware and roasted maple neck give the guitar a particularly rich and distinctive appearance. It is bold without becoming overdone, and the natural figuring beneath the transparent finish gives it loads of depth.

The specification is equally strong from a player’s perspective. The swamp ash body and roasted maple neck should provide a lively, immediate response, while the Even C Slim profile, compound radius and heavy stainless-steel frets offer the slick and consistent feel Suhr is known for. The V60 single coils deliver classic clarity and chime, with the SSH Plus adding a much more powerful bridge voice for driven rhythm and lead work. The push/pull coil split and SSCII silent system make the setup even more practical, giving it a wide tonal range without the usual single-coil noise. A beautifully finished USA Custom build that is equally suited to professional use or collection.
