This is a really strong Anderson spec and exactly the sort of Drop Top that makes a lot of sense if you want boutique quality with loads of versatility. The hand selected top is obviously a big part of the appeal, and Natural Jack’s Blue Burst is one of those finishes that shows off the figuring brilliantly without feeling over the top. The rest of the spec is just as good. Maple neck, Ziricote board and the Even Taper profile is such a dependable recipe on an Anderson, and it tends to give you that slick, comfortable feel they do so well. The pickup layout is another big plus. SC1s in the neck and middle with an HC2 in the bridge gives you loads of ground to cover, and the neck-and-bridge-together option always makes these even more useful in the real world. At 7lbs dead, it sounds like a very nicely judged example too. With this sort of top and these higher-end options, it would be an expensive guitar to replicate new. A very classy and very usable Drop Top.
