This is an absolutely stunning Anderson and one of the most distinctive Drop Top Shorty builds I have seen. The Strawberry Shortcake Wakesurf finish is the obvious talking point, with the flame maple top creating a dramatic wave-like pattern beneath the red and natural tones. The way the colour fades through the centre of the body gives it an almost hand-painted appearance, while the natural binding and matching headstock tie everything together beautifully.

The Shorty format is a big part of the appeal too. At 24.75", it has a softer, more relaxed feel than Anderson’s traditional 25.5" scale instruments, while the hollow construction adds another layer of resonance and openness. The maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, stainless-steel frets and Even-Taper carve keep it unmistakably Anderson in terms of precision and playability.

The HC1 and HC3 humbuckers give it plenty of power without sacrificing clarity, and the five-way switching with split options makes it far more versatile than a conventional dual-humbucker guitar. A really unusual high-end Anderson combining boutique looks, shorter-scale comfort and a genuinely flexible electronics package.
