Teal Burst on a flamed maple top is a striking look: cool green teal through the flame against a darker back, chrome hardware and a pearloid guard. It is unmistakably a Vigier Excalibur shape, and this one presents as a proper player’s Supra rather than a wall hanger.

The real reason people hunt these is the 10/90 neck. Maple with a 10 percent carbon core instead of a traditional metal truss rod, it stays remarkably stable through seasonal changes and string swaps, and it feels stiff, even and precise from the first fret to the 24th. Add the hardened zero fret and 25.6" scale and you get the fast, accurate feel these French builds are known for.

HSH DiMarzio voicing is the other half of the Supra formula: PAF Pro in the neck for clear, musical humbucker voice, FS1 in the middle for snap, and the Tone Zone in the bridge for thicker crunch and midrange punch. Master volume and tone with a 5 way blade keep it simple on stage, and the Vigier tremolo with locking tuners holds tuning when you use the arm.

Built in Grigny, France in comparatively small numbers, Excalibur Supras do not come up often in the UK. Serial 180185, 2018, Teal Burst maple board, supplied in the Vigier hardcase: a well kept consignment example of one of the great European performance Strat style platforms.

Excellent condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of careful use consistent with age. No significant wear, damage or issues to mention.
