Personal Thoughts:
Xotic guitars are criminally underrated, and the XSC-2 is one of the best modern takes on a vintage Strat-style platform. This one absolutely nails the balance between old-school tone and modern reliability. The alder body and roasted flame maple neck give it a lively, resonant acoustic response, while the Heavy Aged finish adds instant comfort and broken-in feel.
Tonally, the RV-60 single coils are beautifully open and glassy without being thin, while the RV-PAF in the bridge adds a thicker, punchier option that makes this far more versatile than a straight SSS layout. It’ll do classic Strat chime all day long, but also handles gain and rock tones with ease.
The roasted neck is a standout — incredibly stable, smooth, and fast, with that dry, played-in feel that normally takes decades to achieve. If you like Fender Custom Shop quality but want something a little more boutique and refined, this absolutely belongs on your shortlist.
Condition Report:
Excellent condition. Light handling marks only, fully consistent with the Heavy Aged finish. Frets are in great shape with plenty of life left. Electronics and hardware function perfectly.
